IGNORANCE: THE LACK OF KNOWLEDGE OR EDUCATION
Oh please don't runaway now. Kick off your shoes, lay back, relax and allow me to speak on some of our biggest flaws. now before i get started, i am not perfect ( i know its hard to believe...LoL) nor do i claim to be, but i will say that i do take the time to educate myself and take the initiative to learn on my own.
Growing up, my mom would always tell me "Charles, you must always have some umph about yourself." let me explain what my mother meant when she said that, she was basically telling me, " Charles, you must always give a FUCK about yourself, and always look to make yourself better." those words have stuck with me from my teenage years to my adult life, yes i have had bumps in the road and there have been plenty obstacles on my course, but after a while even a fool can realize that the laughter has stopped and the embarrassment kicks in, do you hear me? I said the EMBARRASSMENT kicks in, oh no don't stray away from me now.
Embarrassment is defined as, the shame you feel when your inadequacy or guilt is made public. Examples are as follows, don't y@ll hate it wen sumbody wr!tes 2 u lyke th!s? or maybe this for example, "mafuckas is straight blowing me, ima fuck around and slap a bitch, but on another note God is so good to me." I'm pretty sure if you are connected to any social network then you have encountered "THAT GUY", I swear to God i can't make these things up if i tried to, it's so sad that i witness this far to often. I'm guilty of keeping up with trends and im always down to keep that trend going, but is IGNORANCE a trend? It would appear to be that way, and when those type of trends come around, i refuse to follow them. Honestly I'm offended by those type of occurrences, how dare you insult my intelligence with that foolishness on my screen? I have expressed my opinion to many that i find writing in those ways, and their response is "well that's just how i talk', does that make it right? so you just ok with being ignorant? I tell you that it is a crying shame.
We have the opportunity to make ourselves better, to be anything that we want to be and yet we refuse to accept the challenge and allow our ancestors to smile, knowing that they didn't sacrifice their lives for no reason. We rather go through life, uneducated, unemployed, and unappreciative, which is a deadly combination to possess. We have the opportunity to read, write, and go to school to better ourselves, whereas our ancestors were denied an education, were beaten and lynched for even attempting to read. So when you succumb to Ignorance you are spitting in your ancestors face, you know the ones that fought so hard, the ones that gave their lives for you, and the ones that without them THERE WOULD BE NO YOU!!!
I challenge you all to educate yourselves, if you are already doing that, keep it up. There is so much in life to be grateful for, there are a lot of things in life that are going to just piss you off, but you know what you don't have to be here! Since you are here, let's use our blessing wisely and educate ourselves, educate our children, so one day they can educate their children. The world does not evolve around anyone, no one owes you anything, but you owe yourself EVERYTHING!
