ANYONE UP FOR A GAME OF SCRABBLE?

*Hasbro manufactures and owns the Scrabble trademark*

The board game Scrabble, is a game that most would pass on playing if you asked them to. Scrabble is a very intense game that requires a lot of thinking, and requires great vocabulary skills, if this describes you, then i would encourage you to play this board game. On the other hand most of us would rather play a board game that doesnt require much thinking and is constant fun, its easy to win and everyone loves to win, right? Know it or not, we all play Scrabble more than we really realize. The scrabble instructions are as follows, Two to four players play in any game of Scrabble. The object of Scrabble is to score more points than one's opponent. A player collects points by placing words on the game board. Each letter has a different point value, so the strategy becomes to play words with high scoring letter combination's. Sounds like an relationship, right?

OK, lets look at our pieces, we have the following letters, L,I,S,T,E,N... oh that was spelled out for us already. LISTEN, its one of those things that are totally overlooked in an relationship. An argument can change into an agreement within minutes if we learned to listen to our mate. Nothing in the world is resolved by mouths running without someone listening and hearing the other out. I understand that we all want to be heard and want to get our point across, you can do that, but its only right that you also sit and listen to your mate.  know what makes them tick, know how to avoid confrontation, create your own love language. Love Language is not spoken, it is DONE. For instance, you may get up later than your mate to go to work, they have to be up by 7 and you don't have to be up until 10, but every morning you wake up and cook your mate breakfast and orange juice, THAT'S LOVE LANGUAGE!! It's unspoken, but you know that you are loved from that simple act of affection, it works wonders.

When you stop listening to your mate thats when everything goes bad, and the most petty argument can blow up to be everything in the world. You both start arguing, now it turns into a screaming match, then it goes into trying to get the upper hand in the argument and get the last word. Refer back to the instructions of Scrabble. "The object of Scrabble is to score more points than one's opponent. A player collects points by placing words on the game board. Each letter has a different point value, so the strategy becomes to play words with high scoring letter combination's." Can you see where i'm coming from? You both are arguing back and forth, trying to score points, usually at the end of a game the person with the highest score wins, but at the end of an petty argument, is there really a winner? I would answer No, for the simple fact you just exhausted all that time and energy into an argument, and at the end, of course youre going to feel you won, but where is the proof? Don't worry i'll wait.... There is none, because there was no winner, you both are losers. Why waste this blessing of Life with arguing over nothing. A simple conversation with courtesy can go a long way, it's also more healthier, physically, mentally and emotionally.

Relationships are hard, that's a known fact. You place to people together, that may be totally different but Love takes over and there's no running from that. It's so easy to fall in Love but it is one of the hardest things to fall out of. Keep that in mind when those silly arguments come around. I know that this is not the key to all relationships, because there are numerous things that can occur within a relationship, but i guarantee that listening will get rid of those petty arguments. Just remember those game pieces and you will be OK, otherwise you will receive different letters...F,A,I,L,U,R,E. That's right FAILURE!
